CHALLENGE
DayMen Group is a leading designer, marketer, and distributor of high-performance branded bags, packs, cases, tripods, and straps designed to carry, protect, and enhance the functionality of digital imaging and related electronic devices. They asked Lifestyledesign to design the Streetline collection of urban bags for their Lowepro brand. The goal was to create a line of slim, sophisticated, bags to carry and protect the devices and gear people carry every day, especially laptops, tablets cameras and other personal electronics.
APPROACH
The project began with in-depth research into the market, competitive products, and user profiles. Follow-on research focused on relevant fashion and cultural trends, colors, patterns, materials and fabrication. That research, followed by an extensive ideation process, led to the final design and development of four types and sizes of bags - the Streetline Series.

RESULTS
The Streetline Series includes the SL Backpack, Messenger bag, Sling bag and shoulder bag. Features for each bag include a collapsible FlexPocket™ (added impact protection), coated, moisture-repelling fabrics with the look of canvas, multiple pockets for easy access to quick-grab items, trolley sleeve/panel crafted of non-snagging material.
STREETLINE BP 250
Slim & protective, urban-styled backpack designed to protect a laptop and/or tablet, plus variety of gear, including a DSLR or mirrorless camera kit.
STREETLINE SH 180
Slim & protective, urban-style messenger bag is designed to protect a 13 inch laptop and tablet, plus a variety of gear, including a camera kit.
STREETLINE SL 140
Slim & protective, urban-style sling bag is designed to protect an 11 inch laptop and tablet, plus a variety of gear, including a camera.
