Pelican partnered with Lifestyledesign to rejuvenate, redefine and expand the market bandwidth and segmentation of their line of micro-cases, and to further evolve the existing industrial design language.
CHALLENGE
The primary development goals were premium feel, functional flexibility and technical superiority presented with highly engaging design to enhance 21st century lifestyles. A key goal was to broaden the user appeal of the micro-case line by addressing a variety specialized uses and diverse environments, from rugged outdoors to stylish, everyday-carry variations.
APPROACH
We started with an in-depth analysis of the market, probing and questioning everything that we found. Broadening the user appeal of the micro-case was fundamental, as well as Working with Pelican’s engineers to create the most durable personal protective case possible.
RESULTS
The Result was the creation of the Ruck case and the Go Case (shown here). The Go Case is designed for stylish, everyday protection of personal items. It is crushproof, water, dirt and dustproof. A single latch allows one-handed access and fitted dividers keep contents organized an protected. The Go Case is available in 2 sizes and 6 colors.
