Kiva Rechargeable Headlamp
Lifestyledesign worked closely with Lander to innovate, design & develop a headlamp that is at once new and classic, while leveraging the current Lander design vernacular. The primary goal was to introduce a new product in Lander’s lighting category that would add incremental sales, solidify the product line, and provide a differentiated product in a crowded category.
To keep the headlamp ultra-light and super simple, we took a long look at exactly which headlamp features are most used and added those — and only those. With sustainability as a guiding principle, we designed an adjustable band woven from Repreve® performance fiber, made from recycled ocean plastic. The Kiva is rechargeable via a USB-A connector, without requiring a cord. The lightweight, low-profile design keeps the center of gravity close to the head, minimizing bounce while running, hiking, and biking. Key features include an IP65 waterproof rating, making the unit both waterproof and dustproof. There are three beam modes, bright (150 lumens), a more mellow lantern mode and a strobe mode. Control is by a one-touch, glove-friendly button, and patented variable light array technology.

SUSTAINABLE STYLE
The headband of the Kiva is made from Repreve® performance fiber, which is made from recycled plastic bottles. Recycle and replace as needed.

THE RIGHT LIGHT
There are three lighting modes: Full Beam mode is 150 lumens of bright, warm LED light, while Lantern mode is the mellow choice for ambient campsite lighting, and Strobe provides a bright, intermittent beacon, day or night.

FIT FOR ANY ADVENTURE
The Kiva’s low-profile design keeps the center of gravity close to the head, minimizing up and down movement and making it perfect for running, hiking, and biking. An IP65 rating means Kiva is waterproof, dustproof and adventure proof.
