CHALLENGE
Zyris wanted to substantially upgrade their Isolite system by improving ergonomics for better control, utilize softer, more comfortable materials, and improved intra-oral visibility and control.
APPROACH
The Isolite 3 features brighter intra-oral illumination with both white and amber light, allowing quick and easy implementation of a standard isolation protocol for consistent treatment outcomes and reduced chair-times for patients. In addition, Lifestyledesign also created a more robust head design with a smart adapter allowing for use with existing devices.
RESULTS
In collaboration with Zyris, Lifestyledesign was able to reduce procedure time by 20-30% through the innovations developed in the Isolite 3 system.

The design team was challenged to rethink the architecture of the Isolite3 for the best use case, and to update components accordingly.This simple system fits neatly in the mouth to hold the tongue back, pick up excess saliva and debris, light up the working area, while providing a higher degree of comfort for the patient. Through multiple clinical trials, engineering and design refinement the design team assisted with the delivery of Isolite3 from the first sketches to the final product.
