Versatile Integrated Knee Pad
We teamed up with Patagonia to create gear for our Soldiers
CHALLENGE
Patagonia is a renowned maker of premium outdoor gear. They also make clothes and gear for the US Military. They approached us to help them make a knee pad for ground troops.
APPROACH
By first testing the existing solutions on the market we discoverer that the main problem was with the mounting of the pads and their overall comfort. The knee pad, worn over clothing, had to be easy to attach and remove. The final design incorporates a quick release system and a comfortable flex pattern.
RESULTS
The result is the newest generation of knee pads for the US military that is superior in comfort, form, and function. They can be worn as an inner pad without the exterior shell, or in conjunction with for superior protection.

DURABLE & FLEXIBLE
An inner foam shell optimizes the wearing comfort for the user while the ergonomically sculpted shape of the hard outer shell ensures flexibility and impact-absorbing protection.
QUICK-RELEASE SYSTEM
the quick-release system allows the pads to be removed and stowed rapidly and without fumbling.
